Use of Information Policy

Members of the Association of Private Colleges and Universities Alumni Directors will submit the appropriate data for ARAMP provided that the specific information of any institution will not be publicly displayed without the written permission of that university.

If data or graphs are shown by member universities for presentation or benchmarking purposes, institutions selected must be labeled anonymously (e.g. "peer school 1") with no identifiable markers that indicate what university is being referenced. Information can be shared in the aggregate requiring at least four universities in the data pool. The data within ARAMP is owned by each individual university. At no time should the information in ARAMP be shared with the media or other external agencies. Decisions of disclosure are the exclusive right of each university. The information, even in its aggregate form, should be labeled as confidential since the information is shared to assist each university with the internal benchmarking of its programs, not to publicly rank institutions' alumni relations programs.

More specific information can be shared within the alumni offices of each institution. It is the responsibility of the alumni directors to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the data.
